After Class 12 Science, students can appear for the following entrance exams based on their chosen stream.

Medical entrance exam :
NEET UG is conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc Nursing and other medical courses. The exam is usually held in May.

Engineering entrance exams :

• JEE Main is conducted for admission to B.Tech, B.E and B.Arch courses in NITs, IIITs and other engineering colleges. It is held in January and April.
• JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to IITs. Only JEE Main qualified students can apply. The exam is held in May.
• BITSAT is conducted for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses at BITS campuses. The exam is held in May or June.

State level engineering entrance exams include MHT CET for Maharashtra, WBJEE for West Bengal and GUJCET for Gujarat. These exams are usually held between April and June.

Central university entrance exam :
CUET UG is conducted for admission to B.Sc, B.Tech and other undergraduate courses in central universities. The exam is held in May.

Other popular entrance exams :
VITEEE for VIT University, SRMJEEE for SRM University, KIITEE for KIIT University and MET for Manipal University. These exams are usually held between April and June.

Agriculture entrance exam :
ICAR AIEEA is conducted for admission to B.Sc Agriculture and related courses. The exam is usually held in April or May.
