Yes you can get scholarship. The “Central Sector Scheme ofScholarship for College and UniversityStudents” is implemented by the Department of Higher Education since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students is a merit-cum-

means scholarship scheme. 

Eligibility conditions:

 Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant 

stream from a particular Board of Examination in Class XII 

 Pursuing regular course 

 Having family income of less than Rs.6 lakh per annum 

 Not receiving any other scholarship.

Hey Srinivas,

Indian government is high spending on Higher Education providing multiple scholarship options for the students. If you belong to Reserved Category the you can apply for fee reimbursement program where state government provide scholarship. Else if your Family income is less then 1 Lakh a year then you can apply as a fee Wavier candidate.
