hope you are doing good

see if you are interested in NEET and you are confident that after taking a drop year you will clear NEET then you should definitely go for a drop year and clear your NEET.Taking drop for neet is a common thing and many candidates have had to take gap of one or more years for cracking the exam. It will not affect your career apart from the one year extra and other resources you will have to invest for cracking the exam which is very common. It will not affect in the long run if you crack the neet exam and get mbbs seat and become a medical doctor after completing your mbbs and even masters and further specializations.

Apply to JSS University Mysore 2025

But be careful while taking any decision and consult your parents and be clear about taking a gap or not as it is a matter of your career, time, resources and other important things.

every year, more than 16 lakh students take the NEET exam, and only 49 per cent of tthem pass the NEET. Approximately 10 per cent of students drop a year for NEET preparation. Dropping a year could let you help to focus more on the NEET preparation.

As you know, NEET is a tough examination that needs a lot of hard work and the vast syllabus makes it more difficult to crack. However the truth is that if you are ready to invest your time, and plan your preparation under proper guidance you will be able to crack the NEET at the first attempt itself.

Since you’ve already taken the NEET and wish to improve your score, a one-year drop can be beneficial. During this year, you can evaluate your past performance and determine where you need to put in more effort. Furthermore, you will be able to concentrate strictly on NEET preparation without being distracted

At the same time, taking a year drop for your NEET preparation means you have to go through similar preparation and concepts for an extra year. Furthermore, this can be stressful as well. if you have plan for mster study and higher study then you can't lose a year.

hope this is helpful for you

beat of luck
