This totally depends on your interest. If the field of Mechanical Engineering interests you, then there is no chance of taking up a circuital branch. However, if from childhood electricity and computers have interested you, then taking up a circuital branch is a great option.

On paying field, circuital branches win without any competition. It is well known that CSE and software companies in general are paymasters, while in mechanical the jobs are limited with less pay (but if you turn out to be great then sky is the limit). So, in general if you don't have any particular interest, then circuital branches are the best due to the pay.
