Are we supposed to fill the institutes and programmes offered on the basis of preference while filling the cat 2018 form ?

Yes you can fill any institute based on your preference and arrange it accordingly.



Nake sure you rank higher order colleges first as they shall be considered first while taking cutoff.

Hi Sapna! While filling the CAT application form, you will come across a page where you have to select the IIM programmes offered by the 20 IIMs. You have to also enter the preferred cities for IIM interviews. There is no order of preference for selecting the IIM programmes. Each IIM has separate admission criteria, on the basis of which you will be shortlisted. There is no need to apply to IIMs separately or pay separate application fee. However, for applying to other B-schools, you need to do so separately by visiting the college websites. There is no limit to the number of B-schools to apply with your CAT score.
