Hello,

Since you are an Arts student in your 12th grade, you can not take an Engineering Course as your college degree in order to become a software developer.

You are required to have various technical skills in order to opt Engineering as your degree. The colleges taking admission for B.Tech requires you to be well versed with Physics and Chemistry as well not just Mathematics in order to pursue Engineering and become a software developer. That's why your 12th Grade marks along with the entrance exams play a huge role in taking admission as an engineering student.

Hope this helps, All the best!
