Hello Aspirant,

Since you belong to OBC Creamy layer category you will not get the benefit of OBC NCL category and hence will be treated as a General category student. You will not face any other issue in the counselling procedure or in the admission process.

Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell you but you are not eligible for reservation if your parents income is more than 8 lakhs per annum

This is because,

You belong to OBC  creamy layer  but reservation is only for OBC  non  creamy layer.

  • Creamy layer OBC candidates are those whose parents annual income is more than 8 lakhs  per annum and they are not eligible for reservation

  • Obc non creamy layer are those candidates whose parents annual income is less than 8 lakh per annum and they are eligible for reservation

So, while filling the Neet application form you must choose general as your category.

To help you further, here's how you can fill neet application form

To fill the application form you need to go through 5 steps i. e

*neet registration :- first of all visit the official website of neet i. e ntaneet  to generate your login credentials,

*then fill the form i. e you need to fill your personal academic and contact details

*and after that you need to go for uploading your documents,

*then pay the application fee

  • General :-   1500/-

  • General-EWS/ OBC-NCL :-   1400

  • SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender :- 800

  • Foreign candidate :-  7500

*And finally you should take the printout of confirmation page.

Hello Aspirant,

As your family annual income is more than 8 lakh so you are not eligible for OBC reservation because with such income you lies under OBC creamy layer category and OBC creamy layer candidates won't get the reservation benefit of OBC category. Only Non-Creamy layer candidates are eligible for OBC reservation so you will be treated as General candidate not OBC candidate.

So if you are filling up NEET 2021 Application form then you have to opt your category as General or if OBC then OBC creamy layer.
