Yes , the commonwealth citizens can join the British army, this decision was taken by Ministry of Defence ( MoD).

You have apply for the role and they will accept it as you are a commonwealth citizen undertaking the following conditions :

- Age should be above 18 as they are not going to take under 18 candidates

- Nationality should be British/ Irish or commonwealth citizen

- Health and fitness

- Medical fitness

- Education

- Criminal conviction

- Tattoos and piercings
