JEE Counselling is done by JOSAA on the basis of marks obtained and the ranks secured by the student in the JEE- MAIN and JEE- ADVANCE exams. JEE Counselling is done for getting admissions into the prestigious colleges of INDIA such as IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs (Government funded technical institutes).

Some other colleges too such as BITS MESRA and other too also take admissions into their colleges based on their JEE Scores.
