Economics(Hons) is the analytical course that imparts analytical skills in the student so most of the profiles will be analytics based. Various career opportunities are available:

1. Analyst, Data Analyst or Business Analyst in a private firm.
2. Researcher in a private firm or KPOs or in good think tank of the country.
3. Finance related profiles like financial analyst, Eco(H) briefly touches in finance as well in its curriculum.
4. Teacher/Professor obviously, but for professor; one needs to study further beyond Eco(H) undergrad like MA(Eco).
5. Core Economist profile is not available generally after undergrad Eco(H) as this focuses on basics of the discipline. To become an Economist, one needs to do MA(Eco).
6. Government sector jobs are also available that are highly focused on economics like IES(Indian Economic Service) only after post grad, RBI Grade B Officer (Either general- after grad or in economics department- after post grad), SEBI( also focuses on Economics & Finance- after grad).
