b.a economics honours or b.sc statistics honours ? which is better ? which has good career options ? I'm comfortable with both subjects . I can study study both the subjects and interested in both . please suggest

Hello Buddy! Hope you're doing good.

For choosing between these two, your aptitude matters as Stats honours to be more mathematically rigorous than Economics Honours. So, if that’s fine then the problem of choice matters.

So you’ve choice between these options then Statistics is better than Economics because you can always switch from Statistics to Economics but vice-versa is difficult. Also, much of economics is now driven by Empirical work. So, knowledge of Advanced Stats will be better! Statistics training in Economics is still very limited. Also, if you don’t want to switch to Economics for higher studies then you could look at Actuaries where Statistics coursework will be handy. And data science boom implies that Statisticians will continue to rule the world. Hope this will help you.
