Admission for BA in Journalism, Bachelor of Mass Media and Mass Communication and Hindi Parrakarita on the basis of merit or entrance varies from college to college.

There are colleges/universities which gives direct admission on the basis of merit. For merit based admission, aggregate marks is seen on the grounds of best of four subjects (English+three academic subjects). Music and physical education is not counted under the best of four. 

Even the colleges or universities conducting entrance exam, requires minimum of 60% as an aggregate. The entrance exam for journalism and mass communication covers genernal knowledge, language skills, comprehension and analytical capability and aptitute & mental make-up.
