There are basic few steps to prevent Cholera. They are ;-

1. Use safe water. Better to use boiled water
2. Cleaning hands with soap to clean out all pathogens
3. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables. Cook well and eat hot /warm
4. Clean environment, home , kitchen
5. Maintain sanitation and hygiene

if cholera is infected then the patient can take vaccine approved by FDA which is called as Vaxchora.
