As per the trends,the highest salary usually goes for Computer  Science and engineering branch.
However,this also depends on college.
These days,some exceptional packages are offered in petroleum and environmental engineering.
Also,mining engineering can be considered as a high paying branch as well.
So,follow your interest and not the package.

You cn get if you chpose top buzzing in demand courses like Computer science engineering and Electronic Communications engineering from top Colleges lkje BITS Pilani , IITBombay, IITDelhi, NIT Trichy, NIt Warangal, RVCOE Bangalore  etc.

However you must have excellent functional knowledge and good exposure to latest skills with decent number of internships experience to get 10lpa starting salary.

Abhishek in your career you can able to make more money only and only if you love the work for what you are doing.
Coming to the point of engineering courses then I must approx all engineering branches have good salary and fame if and only if that branch is of your intrest and of your wished branch. As per the scenario which is going today then it will be like CSE / IT graduate have more salary package in IT field in comparison with core field job. So it depends upon you in which field you are intrested and in which area you are intrested to shape your career in that field only you can be able to earn more money whether it is core or Non Core sector.
