After IIT, Madras; there are other institutes in Chennai which are very good like Anna University of Technology, Sri Sairam Engineering College, Madras Institute of Technology, Alagappa College of Technology, Sri Ventakeswara College of Engineering, SRM University, BS Abdur Rahman University, Panimalar Engineering College, St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Bharath Institute of Science and Technology, Vels University – School of Engineering, Vel Tech Dr Rangrajan Dr Sakunthala Technical University, SSN College of Engineering, Aalim Muhammad Saligh College of Engineering, Indian Maritime University, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Easwari Engineering College etc. Hence, saying that Bharath Institute of Science and Technology is the best engineering college of Chennai would be wrong.
