You can get admission directly into any private university either by giving their entrance exam or from the merit list based on you 10+2 aggregate. Moreover, if you want to get admission into government colleges or NITs, IIITS IITs you need to qualify their common entrance exam which is jee mains and advance, there are many other state level entrance exams for admission into colleges of a particular state like UPSEE, GUJCET, EAMCAT etc.

The only difference will be that if you enrolled into any private college your fees would be more as compared to any government college and also the placement resords of IITS and NITS are way too good than any private college.
