Hope you are doing great. The oxidation number of Co in {CoBr2(CN)2}+, in the following way,

Choose x as the oxidation number for the Co,

then,

X + 2 (-1) + 2 (0) = +1, then,

X - 2 = 1, i.e., X = 1 +2, which is equal to +3.

Therefore, the oxidation number is +3.
