The application form of GATE exam was available from August 31, 2018

Well, here are some eligibility criteria for GATE exam which are as follows:

1. Candidates who want to apply for GATE exam they should have completed their  Graduation.

2. There is no need of minimum passing marks in the qualifying degree.

3. For the candidates of GATE exam, there is no age limit.

According, to the eligibility criteria of the GATE exam you should at least have a under graduation degree.

Helo dear, no a 12th class cannot apply for GATE exam. you  can apply for GATE exam after completing your graduation i.e BTech.

Since GATE is stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering so you must have a graduation degree in engineering or post graduation degree or its equivalent in science stream. Once you obtain above eligibility criteria, you can go for GATE.
You dont have engineering or post graduation degree so currently you cant apply for GATE.

No Class 12th students can not apply for this entrance exam as only those students can apply who are in the last year of graduation ( minimum 4 years course is required).
