Ideally to study Masters in any subject you should have completed Bachelor's degree in that subject. If not the entire duration of the course, you should have atleast studied that subject for atleast one semester. In your case if you have studied BA Eanglish and want to pursue MA Journalism, that is going to be difficullt through regular mode because you do not have Journalism or Mass Communication as a subject during your Bachelor's degree/ Now having said that, you can pursue MA Journalism through Distance Education where in Bachelor's degree from any discipline is considered valid. For example, IGNOU offers MA Journalism and according to the eligibility criteria mentioned in the official website http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/school/sojnms/programmes/detail/690/2 , Bachelor's degree in any discipline is allowed. All you need is access to Computer, Internet and basic knowledge of word processing. But IGNOU is an Open University which means this course is a Distance Education Course.
