No dear optometrist don't sell the medicine. In India optometrist role is just check out the patient eye condition like eye problems, eye power or any disease. And an ophthalmologist and an optometrist both are difference. Opthalmologist is a medical doctor who can prescribe and surgery for eyes. And medicine only sell by a pharmacist or a chemist which have license to sell the medicine.
