Dear aspirant,

You can (as Automobile engineering falls under the Mechanical major), but you shouldnt, in my opinion.

The problem is, you have spent your four years of time learning the automobile concepts and in M.Tech, you will be introduced to subjects that are more relevant to Mechanical engineering! Even if automobile engineering is a part of Mechanical engineering, you are not yet familiar with the basics of aerospace engineering the way other mechanical engineers do.

In short, you might want to opt for an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (automotive field) or a program that is more related to your bachelors degree.

Hopefully this will help you.
Thank you.
