No you can't do this just after 12th.
If you have completed your your Graduation degree course in any stream, then you're eligible to apply for CATEntrance Examination.. The Exam is conducted by IIM's Every year in the month of November/December.
Eligibility for CAT Exam:-
1.Graduation is the minimum eligibility criteria.
You have to do graduation course.
2. You have to score atleast 50% in your graduation
3. Study according to the given pattern.

So if you have completed your graduation degree in any stream then you're eligible for the same.
