Hello Aspirant

The eligibility criteria for the NET exam is that the candidate must have a Master's degree or should at least be appearing for the MA exams. If you don't fulfill these criteria, they will not even be eligible to apply for the exams.

BEd is not a Master's degree, and thus you are not eligible to apply for the exam BEd is just a Bachelor's in Education, not a Master's, although they do require a bachelor's, it's still a bachelor's degree.

Hope this helps

You cannot apply for the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) while you are still pursuing your B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course. The eligibility criteria for the UGC NET exam require candidates to have completed a master’s degree or be in the final year of their master’s program.

Here’s a detailed explanation:

  1. Eligibility Requirements : To be eligible for the UGC NET, you must have a postgraduate degree (Master's) in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). A B.Ed degree alone does not meet the eligibility criteria for the UGC NET.

  2. During B.Ed : While pursuing a B.Ed, you are typically in the process of completing your bachelor's or already have a bachelor's degree. The UGC NET exam, however, is specifically for those who have completed or are in the final stages of their master’s degree.

  3. Future Steps : After completing your B.Ed, you should pursue a master’s degree (e.g., M.Ed, M.A., M.Sc., etc.) if you plan to appear for the UGC NET exam. Once you are in the final year of your master’s program or after completing it, you can then apply for the UGC NET exam.

In summary, you need to first complete or be in the final year of a postgraduate program to be eligible for the UGC NET exam.

Hello aspirant,

We regret that, despite having completed your B.Ed. program, you are not qualified to take the NET admission exam. To sit for the NET Entrance Exam, a candidate must have completed a master's degree in any field from an accredited university. Thus, in order to apply for the NET Entrance Examination, you must finish your master's degree program after completing your B.Ed. program.

Thank you

Hope this information helps you.
