KVPY is administered by the Indian Institute of Science.

The students who qualify in the KVPY Exam are eligible for a fellowship as well as admissions into institutes like the IISc and the IISER based on additional criteria.

This exam has 3 Streams: SA (Class 11), SX (Class 12), and SB (First year BSc).

Yes, you can give the KVPY exam twice in class 11 ( KVPY SA) and 12 ( KVPY SX).

You can also give KVPY third time ( KVPY SB), if you are pursuing a basic science course (first year) after class 12.

As a general category student, you need a minimum aggregate of 60% in your Class 12 exam.

As an SC, ST or PwD category student, you need a minimum aggregate of 50%.
