It completely depends on the college system whether they allow branch change or not, this process is also called branch sliding. Many of the colleges allow to branch change after first year or first semester completion. For this you need to have theminimum required CGPA to go the branch you wish to go. In colleges, competition gets high for sliding branch to Computer science branch and it has been seen that cutoff goes 9 + CGPA for getting CSE.
