Yes, you can do that. After diploma, you are going to get lateral entry in 2nd yr. B.Tech. And specializations in B.Tech start after 1st year only. So, you can easily change the trade. One requires to qualify LEET as conducted by the technical education board of the state. Lateral Entry Entrance Tests are conducted on a state level. But some colleges and Universities to conduct Lateral Entry Tests.
