Can I change trade civil to mechanical by giving lateral entry?

dear student,

lateral entry student is the one who directly enters into the second year of his engineering. He/she must have completed a diploma in their respective branch to be eligible for the lateral entry program.

Yes you can change the branch, but the chances of securing the admission in a different branch through the online process is difficult. In the counselling round you’ll get the college if any left.
