Hello Aspirant,

You are not eligible for B.Tech lateral entry. For B.Tech lateral entry, a diploma in subjects like Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or IT is required (for B.Tech CSE). Since you have a diploma in Computer Applications you are eligible for BCA only if you have secured a percentage of 60 in your diploma. B.Tech or BCA Lateral entry is the immediate entry into the 2nd year or 3rd semester. Candidates who did 3 years of Diploma in relevant subject after 10+2 are eligible for the course. A student from 10+2+3  can get admission in Lateral entry. Some institutions conduct an entrance exam for this course while in some colleges the score obtained by the candidate in the diploma is considered for admission.
