Dear Aspirant 

Yes in semester based exam there is a rule that even if you have failed in your any semester exam then you can reappear for the exam in next semester or in some of the colleges there are summer term in which students has to re-register for the subject in which they are failed and they have to study during summer season and they have to clear their exam.
