Only after completing your 12th you will be eligible to join engineering colleges and pursue software engineering course. You will not be eligible after your 10th you have to complete your 12th. Students are required to complete 10 + 2 by obtaining at least 50 per cent marks from any approved Indian board in the science stream with PCM.  Software engineer is a computer science specialists who employ knowledge of the concepts of engineering and software development to build software products, design computer games and operate network control systems.
