well, these two are two drastic fields; related but different. the only we know is VIT university which offers B.Sc in Multimedia. this teaches some media subjects along with animation.
See graphic designing needs an artistic creative mind, which students must have. They need strong imagination and drawing skills. If you have this, you will do good. Rest, it is perceived that it is connected with media, is only because as a designer you will get jobs in media or advertising houses. That is the only connection.
