Vimal with 90 marks in JEE mains exam according to last year cut-off your rank will be in the range of 180000 - 200000. With this rank in the general category, I am sorry to say you won't be able to get any branch in any of the NITs but according to last year cut-off which was 81 marks you can get qualified for JEE Advanced examination. We can't be 100% sure about it until JEE Mains officially declares the cut-off marks for JEE Advanced 2018 for all the categories. But if you get the chance you can try to score a little higher marks in JEE Advanced which can create scope for you to get admission in one of the IITs.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
Hello Vimal Kumar. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
Please note that you are expected a rank in the range of around 90K. As a result, the chances of getting admission across any NIT are very low. Nearly two lakh candidates will be appearing in JEE Advanced and admissions are expected to get closed at an AIR of around 14 thousand. The remaining 2 lakh candidates will vie for seats at top NITs. As, the total seat intake of NITs is around 24,000, they may not be able to absorb all the candidates appearing for the second stage of JEE. So, it is highly unlikely that you will be getting admission in any NIT.
Hope this helps you and all the best!
