If you got 353 marks in NEET UG 2025 and you belong to the ST category, then you have qualified for the exam because the qualifying marks for ST are usually between 113 to 143. But to get a seat in a government veterinary college (like for BVSc & AH), you may need around 400 to 440 marks, even in the ST category.

So with 353 marks, it may be difficult to get admission in a government veterinary college. But you can still try for private veterinary colleges, where the cutoff is usually lower, and you may get a seat based on your score and category.

With 353 marks in NEET UG and belonging to the ST category, you have a fair chance of getting a seat in a government veterinary college. The qualifying marks for ST category are usually much lower, and your score is well above that. While top colleges may have higher cutoffs, less competitive government colleges or later rounds of counselling can offer you a seat. Admission depends on your state quota, rank, and availability, but overall your chances are decent.

With 353 marks in NEET UG under ST category, you have a fair chance for veterinary seats in Government Medical Colleges (GMC), especially through state quota. Cutoffs vary by state.

Hello Aspirant,

There are many considerations involved with admission into veterinary seats in Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) including state quota, cut-off trends, and reservation categories. So, with 353 marks in NEET UG under the ST category, you have a good chance of getting a BVSc seat in a government veterinary college, especially in states with lower ST cut-offs. Nonetheless, please be aware:

  • Veterinary courses (BVSc & AH) will almost always be offered through separate veterinary universities and not GMCs.
  • Cut-off marks and state-wise admission processes (State Counselling or 15% All India Quota through VCI (Veterinary Council of India)) will differ in each respective state.
