Hi,

Lateral entry in law course means direct admission to the third semester of five years integrated law course.

According to bar counselling of India rules " There shall be no lateral entry on the plea of graduation in any subject or exit by way of awarding a degree splitting the integrated double degree course, at any intermediary stage of integrated double degree course."

so unfortunately you can not get admission to not third year even to  third semester law course through lateral entry.

hope this helps.
