Hi

With 83  percentile , your st rank will be somewhat around 2500-2700 st rank.

This is a bit difficult to predict  as closing rank keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

You hold chance in some of the NITS, which are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for st category under other state  :-

  • NIT Mizoram ,civil engineering :-   2975 st rank

  • Nit nagaland ,Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering :- 3086 st rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala,    Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering:- 3521 st rank

You can check the same at

This prediction of colleges is  based of past year data but  cut off or closing rank changes every year depending upon many factors like the number of students that give the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main  for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Hy ,

For general Category candidates , they need to score a minimum of 95+ percentile score to get NITs. For reserved category candidates, the 80+ percentile score is enough to get NITs.

You can predict your college with the help of the given link.

Hello,

For The Percentile which you have mentioned in your Query,  your approximate rank would be near about 1.47 Lakhs and on the basis of this rank you cannot get top NITs even if you belongs to SC reservation category but yes you can try for lower NITs like NIT Sikkim, NIT Pudduchery, NIT Agartala and so on.

You can also use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your college according to the percentile and category, link for the same is given below :-

Hope this information will help you.

Good Luck!!!!
