You have not mentioned the exam in which yiu got these  marks, nor the cpourse you want to get admission in. For BTeh you need to have scored around 47 marks so with 42 it is possible that you might get a seat in the 3rd round of counselling but for PCB stream , if you are from open category, chances are that you will not get admission here.
