Dear aspirant,
Yes giving an improvement exam makes you eligible if you match the the following criteria.
According to HRD ministry, 40% weightage is given to BOARD marks and 60% toJEE marks hence if you score 75% and above or your name is in the top 20 percentile you are eligible to appear for JEE and if you perform well you can get in NIITs also .
all the best.
Hello aspirant,
Yes you can give improvement exam, but if you are already more than 75% you don't need to. It all depends, like if you do not have 75% marks 12th,then in order for being eligible for admission through IIT JEE, you have to take the improvement exam. ... So, if you have score more than 75%, then there is no need for giving improvement in all the 5 subjects,as you are already eligible for JEE exam.If you get lower marks in a subject in improvement than you previous marks will be added. Because its the examination for improvement, and if there is “no improvement”, then obviously the previous marks are the final.
Admissions in IITs/ NITs/ IIITs and other CFTIs – at least 75% marks in class 12th, or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th class exam conducted by the respective board, to qualify for admissions. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65% marks.
Hope your query is cleared. All the best. Good luck.
