For IMA and OTA, the eyesight standards are not too strict as that of Indian air force. Here are standards required for IMA and OTA....Hope you may get a overall idea about it....
Eyesight for CDS Exam
For a male candidates the minimum acceptable visual acuity are distant vision (corrected) better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/18. ... Internal examination of the eye will be done by means of ophthalmoscope to rule out any disease of the eye. A candidate must have good binocular vision.
The minimum acceptable visual acuity is 6/6 in a better case and worse could be 6/18. The eyesight has to be corrected.
Myopia should not be more than -3.5D and Hypermetropia should not be above + 3.5D including astigmatism.
When it comes to the women, who have the chances of to go through OTA they have some relaxation in myopia with the range of -5.5D including astigmatism. .The eyesight will be examined more to ensure the good binocular vision of the candidate.
The above standards are for the candidates of Indian Military Academy.
However , you have to get your eyesight problem corrected as it is not too late . So, better consult to doctor get this problem corrected for which you can apply for IMA in coming days.
