This years mains cutoff for general is 81. To get a good Nit one needs to hv minimum 20k general ranking . By looking at your marks 70 it is almost impossible for you to get any Nit . To get a good branch in any good Nit , one needs to score minimum of around 200 marks in mains .
so my friend my suggestion to you would be prepare well for next year , and write other state level engineering entrance exam . Or why to waste your precious one year join any private college with good reputation or name , and prepare for entrance exam along with that , if u score well go get admission in a better.college,.else you have a still a back up that is the college where you are studying.

With 70 marks and general category, branch, there is a slightly fair possibility that you would call from IIT's, But yes you would be able to qualify.
