If you feel like the standard of the VK jaiswal's book is being difficult for you to absorb then it is absolutely alright to shift to another book, my suggestion will be to take help and reference from Morrison and Boyd book or Physical Chemistry books by PW Atkins. After going through the portions if you still feel, you need more assistance then you can take only the important parts from VK jaiswal's book as an additional information.
