Yes you can go for another NIT even after got select in one NIT. But you have to leave the seat that you got to participate in further counseling.If you are sure that you can get another seat in NIT then you go for further couseling otherwise if you do not get seat in further counseling then you will not be able to get your previous seat.

After joining the nit if you have chance to give Jee mains then yes you can take admission in another nit by giving the jee main examination of that year and qualify it with good marks. And if you take admission in another nit then you have again started from 1st year of college in that college which you can get.
