Dear aspirant,

In 80-90 percentile if you are from general category or even EWS or OBC ,there is no chance to get into any nit as the cut offs are too high as compared to this percentile.

Generally a general candidate can hope for a seat in nit for atleast 96 percentile and that too he will get low branches in lower nits. For obc/EWS, candidates with 95 percentile can hope to get nit.

If you are an sc/st candidate only then you would be able to grab your seat in NIT otherwise not.

In order to get into NIT, the average cutoff is generally high for the general candidates as compared to other categories.

It's pretty sure that you won't get the good streams in the top NITs is of the country, but based on your category there is a chance that you might get an integrated five year degree course in some of the lower Ranked NITs of the country.
