Hello,

Yes, you can take the KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) exam to get admission to B.Tech programs after PUC (Pre-University Course). However:

· KVPY is primarily a scholarship exam, not an admission test.

· KVPY fellowship awardees get preference in admissions to participating institutions.

Eligibility:

· You should be studying in 11th or 12th standard (PUC) in science stream.

· You should have secured at least 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) in math and science in 10th standard.

Participating institutions:

· IISc, Bangalore

· IITs

· NITs

· IIITs

· Other premier science and technology institutions

Benefits:

· Direct admission to participating institutions (some institutions)

· Preference in admissions (most institutions)

· Scholarship/fellowship (up to 80000/year)

To get admission to B.Tech through KVPY:

1. Appear for KVPY exam.

2. Qualify for the fellowship.

3. Apply to participating institutions.

4. Meet institution-specific eligibility criteria.
