Yes you can use your 10th marksheet instead of your date of birth ceritificate if your date of birth is mentioned anywhere in your 10th board certificate because in most colleges  incase you do not have your Birth Certificate then 10th mark sheet will work as long as it has Your Date of Birth, Mother's Name and Father's Name and a Letter justifying why you are using 10th Mark-sheet
