Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well,

Basically, EWS certificate is an income and asset certificate issued to the citizens belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society (EWS category under General category). EWS certificate is just like an income certificate.

The Tamil Nadu government informed the Madras High Court that the income certificate issued to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) can be used only to apply for posts under the 10 per cent quota in central government jobs and educational institutions.

So it's better to have income certificate as you can apply through online and get income certificate easyly.

Good luck
