Yes , it is one of the important subject to study Army . If you have  upper hand on maths will only increase your chances to join the academy . And without maths also you can apply for NDA exam for Army wing . Without maths you are not eligible for Indian Navy and Air force . But you have to clear the maths written exam conducted by UPSC .
