Every Private Medical College has 3 Category of seats. Category A seats are alloted to the Government and these seats are filled through 15% All India Counselling and 85% State Counselling. So for these seats, even other State candidates can apply. The next B Category seats are Management Seats and are filled at the jurisdiction of the management of the Institution in question. The Category C seats are NRI seats reserved for NRIs. So not just in Maharashtra, you can apply for Private Medical Colleges of other States as well.
