physics- for brushing up your theory, definitely go for "RESNICK HALLIDAY". "HC VERMA" and "IL IRODOV" are good for solving basic and advanced level questions respectively.
chemistry-"NCERT" is more than enough because questions are asked from Ncert in JEE or any other UG engineering entrance exams.
