For appearing in CA CPT exam the candidate must have completed his 10+2 level qualifying exam from a recognized board of education.
Only then the candidate can register themselves with the ICAI for the course and not before that.

No you cannot appear in cpt between class 12 because eligibilty to take cpt is candidates must have passed 10+2 exam from any national state /central board.

After your 12 is finished,you can appear for cpt ,then based on your score you will be selected based on cutoff according to category
