Yes, if you qualified the Mains, you can get a decent NIT if you have secured fairly above the passing marks. If you belong to any of the reserved category, the chances of getting an NIT are increased.

Let's suppose you just qualifies for JEE Mains i.e. you got the marks around 90-100 in General category.So based on your score and previous year ranking scenario your rank would be around 1 lakh.Thus you would have extreme rare chance to get even some unknown seat in a low ranking NIT and if you belongs to some reserved category then you might get something but that too not so plausible.
Thus try little hard to get the score of at least 150 to think of getting a reputed college that would be really commendable.
And I assure you that getting a score of 150-170 is not a big task ,just focus on your strengths ,practice as much questions as you can and avoid silly mistakes.
